Terms of Service
Last updated 3 August 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Splitstream’s websites, dashboards, APIs, partner portals, and hosted checkout. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Splitstream provides software for merchant crypto payments, revenue-sharing vaults, payroll, and affiliate programs. We are a software platform — not a bank, broker, or licensed money transmitter in every jurisdiction. On-chain settlement depends on public networks outside our control.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your workspace. Notify us promptly of unauthorized access. We may suspend accounts that pose risk to the platform or other users.
3. Custodial vaults
Workspace vaults may hold crypto under Splitstream’s custodial key management so the product can automate splits, payroll, and commissions. You instruct payouts through the product. You remain responsible for verifying recipient addresses and amounts before approving transfers.
4. Merchant & affiliate use
Merchants are responsible for their goods and services, tax obligations, customer support, and lawful use of affiliate programs. Affiliate tracking and postbacks must not be used to fabricate sales. Partners must not engage in fraud, spam, or trademark misuse.
5. Fees
Platform fees (for example a percentage on certain vault flows) are disclosed in the product or pricing materials. Network fees charged by blockchains are separate and paid from the relevant vault or payment as configured.
6. Acceptable use
- No illegal activity, sanctions evasion, or fraud
- No attempting to extract others’ private keys or secrets
- No abuse of APIs, pixels, or postbacks
- No interfering with platform security or availability
7. Intellectual property
Splitstream and its branding, software, and documentation remain our property (or our licensors’). You receive a limited license to use the service while these Terms apply. You retain rights to your own business content.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is.” Crypto markets and networks are volatile and may experience delays, forks, or failures. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, specific prices, or that a given transfer will confirm on-chain within a particular time.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Splitstream is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to fees you paid us for the service in the three months before the claim (or £100 if greater and if no fees were paid).
10. Termination
You may stop using Splitstream at any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these Terms or to protect the platform. Provisions that should survive (including liability limits and IP) continue after termination.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after the updated date constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, stop using the service.
12. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent via your workspace support channel or the email on your Splitstream account.
