Cookie Policy
Last updated 3 August 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Splitstream uses cookies and similar technologies. For broader data practices, see our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use related technologies such as local storage for affiliate attribution on merchant sites that install our script.
2. Cookies we use
Essential / session. Required to keep you signed in to the dashboard and to protect forms against abuse. These are necessary for the product to work.
Affiliate attribution. When a visitor uses a Splitstream tracking link, we may set a cookie on our domain (for example ss_aff_ref) and merchants may store a partner reference in first-party storage via our tracking script so later sales can be attributed.
Preferences. Lightweight flags such as dismissed onboarding or home chooser prompts, stored locally so we do not keep asking the same question.
3. What we do not do
We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the marketing site or dashboard to sell your browsing profile to advertisers.
4. Your choices
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may prevent login. For affiliate storage on a merchant’s website, that merchant controls their own cookie banner and policies.
5. Updates
We may update this policy when our practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top will always reflect the latest version.
